ablation

just had ablation for a fib on aug,25,was back in my local hospital twice for fluid build up,in the stomach.they had to drain almost 3 liters of fluid out of my stomach,getting better,just wondering if it has hapenned d to any one else.

hi may i ask u havea 3 lead icd? and u had to get a ablation? sounds like i have a lot of the same problems and such,i have a crt-d implant almost a year now,i always feel bloated and wonder about fluid buildup and how or when u can tell?hope your doing better now since your last post thanks ....mike.

I had an ablation 3 months ago--gained 20lbs in fluid weight from the procedure and meds. I lost the weight in 1-2 days after discharge from the hospital. I was told they use a lot of heparin and other fluids to prevent clotting--but 20lbs--yikes. I am very slender and 20 lbs is quite a bit of weight to put on in such a short time. I feel so much better after the ablation--no chest pain and beautiful sinus rythm. I am glad you are getting better, and wish you continued healing.
