Just a quick note to say thanks to everyone who was encouraging along the way.
I ran the triathlon this morning and finished 39 seconds ahead of my overall goal.
The great thing was that my wife and boys made it just in time to give me a big cheer when I needed it the most!
If I could offer any encouragement to those reading this post it would be to never sell yourself short, and to continue to seek ways to do the things that you love. Just because we have received a PM or ICD does not mean that life has to end.
I will post a picture as soon as I receive my email from team magic!

Man, that totally rocks!! I applaud you and this victory!! With medical clearance, many others could achieve very similar triumphs. Perhaps not a triathlon.. but I'm sure there is something in each of our lives that would be just as victorious. Just set the sights on it and get moving!
Cheering as always!

I saw your post the night before I was to have my PM installed. I was in that poor pitiful me state and I thought if you could do what you were about to do then I felt everything would go okay with me. Im glad to hear you did so well in your race. Before my PM was installed I was going to run the 1/2 marathon in Chickamauga Ga on Nov 8th. If youre in the area come run with me and my wife. Congratulations on your race and thanks for your post. Thomas
Congrats!

Huge congrats to you on your accomplishments. I just joined this forum to support a friend who just got her PM yesterday so I will pass this great news along to her. Linda
