My lead was replaced when it malfunctioned. I am part of the lawsuit. The settlement is in limbo as of 5/29/2016.

Anyone in the same situation?

I am not in your situation, but wish you the best of luck.
I want to ask you why you chose a St. Jude in the first place? I am vacillating between choosing a Medtronic or a Boston. If you have any information you'd care to share with me, I'd be grateful.

Hi,

My device was originally implanted in an emergency so I had no time to research. My replacements have always been St. Jude.

Good luck, your options are much better these days.

St. Jude leads

I have not contacted St Jude but my second defibrillator's leads became frayed but was not replaced till it shocked me 11 times, thinking there was something wrong with my heart.( My Doctor thought they would be OK because they have extra coatings). A new defibrillator was put in on my right side with new leads, leaving the old frayed leads in. The Dr. said it was to dangerous to remove them. these leads were on the list of bad leads and in the law suit. If you have any advice please pass it on.
