Complications after surgery

Hello,
I had my PM implanted in February. I needed the physical therapy to increase range of motion. I am finished with that part which helped a lot; however, I still can't raise my arm without pain due to a pinched nerve.
Has anyone else had this problem after having the PM surgery?

So glad to hear that you are on top of things!

But why a Neurologist: aren't they for the head? ; told you I wasn't a doctor!!

And if it makes you feel any better, my cardiologist doesn't give a hoot about me either, always just dismisses me.

Glad to hear that you local doctor listens!

Hope you find your answer!

Left Shoulder/Arm Pain

I too had left shoulder/arm pain and went to PT which really did not help much. It has now been a year and the pain has now almost diminished. I too was having spasms in the area, which I no longer have. I guess it just takes time for the healing process to kick in. Hang n there!!!!

Pinched Nerve

I am not a doctor....but how do you know it is a pinched nerve? I would be asking for an Xray or a CT scan. Is it swollen or red? How long has this been going on?

You shouldn't be having any pain.

Push the doctors for an answer!!

I have had an X-ray but have not had the CT scan. My therapy has helped me a lot but not the pain in my arm/shoulder, the range of motion. The therapist says the doc will probably refer me to a neurologist next week. I had complained to cardiologist but he shows little interest in problems. I told him the 'dissolving" stitches were not all dissolved but he just said "some take longer than others". I went to local doc the following week and he removed the three and gave me antibiotic as it had a little infection. The local doc takes me serious and is responsible for me having physical therapy, the x-ray and took care of the stitches and infection. I return to him next week and will ask him for a CT scan. This wheel has no choice but to squeak louder now. Thank you so much for replying.
