Funny beats whilst running

Hey guys! Happy 2013! Hope it's been a good one for you all so far?!
So...last time I posted on here I was asking if I could do trampolining with a PM (was worried about ripping leads etc)
Didn't find the old club I used to be at so decided to join a gym (not for the 1st time in my life!) but for the 1st time in my life I am running on the treadmill not just walking. Have been doing really well-from someone who couldn't run for 5mins without feeling like I was gonna keel over I have built it up and can run for a solid 23mins and want to keep building that. I also do other forms of cardio while in the gym such as cross trainers, steppers and rowing machines. Which are all fine too. But when I am running and not all the time I get bumps in my chest which I'm imagining that this is my PM either kicking in pacing or something it's like my heart struggles to keep up. I've measured my heart rate whilst running and I'm usually hitting between 155bpm and 162bpm. It's just not a nice feeling when it keeps bumping, I feel fine in myself but what is it? Do you think I should book into clinic? I get these bumps too if I've been to the gym twice in a row and am quite tired which is nothing new for me after exercise. Do you think I need some adjustments because of all the exercise I'm getting?
Any advice or thoughts would be great.

Fast and bumpy

I had posted the message just before yours about my heart going fast when I thought it was supposed to be controlled speed wise. Forgot to add that much of the time when it is fast like that it is also bumping. Hope someone can give both of us amswers. It is nothing serious I am 99% sure but would just like to know what it is.
Sounds like otherwise you are doing great. Have you had your PM long? I find that when it is bumping, I also have a lot of gas. Caused by fast heartbeat pushing against something or fast heartbeat caused by gas? The chicken or the egg puzzle. Best to you.

upper limit

Do you know what your upper limit is? If it's around 150-160 and you are getting close to it while working out, you will feel weird. With av block, the atria beats normally but the ventricle doesn't get the message so we are paced ventricle, but only up to our upper limit. If the atria gets going too fast, above the upper limit, the heart gets out of sync. That could be what you are feeling. Ask them to check the pm, they can tell on the report if that's what is happening and program so it doesn't happen again.

Thank you so much TracyE and magenniskeith this helps a lot. I will have had my PM 5 years this April coming...I have 3rd degree heart block, I am quite fit and healthy apart from that, I am 35 this year and it all happened a couple of weeks after turning 30. (Very out the blue I may add) but thank you for your advice and knowledge I had a feeling it may be something to do with a limit I may be set at. Running again tonight so will see if it happens again. I will get it checked though.
As I expect my heart to go faster when training but bumping can be a little concerning and uncomfortable. Thanks once again, I'll let you know the out come.

My upper limit was 140 the first ten years I was paced. I worked out all the time and never got close to it. Then my rate started rising and between 35 and 45, it inched up to 170's. It's normal for things to change with age.

Ideally you want the upper limit to be 10 bpm above the range you usually work out. Sometimes it can help to get on the treadmill at the office while on the pm computer so they can watch what's happening.
