Firefighter again

Thanks for all of the feedback. For those who are worrying or concerned, I don't have my PM to keep me alive, on the contrary, it just keeps my resting heartrate above 50. I have no exercise issues and never have. I would not go back on the job if I were a hazard to my crew. I have discussed this at length with my specialists. My heart functions great when exerting. If I were to break a lead at a fire it wouldn't affect my heart rate because my reart rate would be above 50 due to the adrenalin involved in the situation. I have autonomic dysfunction due to a virus I got, not heart damage. I didn't get my PM put under the muscle, although it was discussed. My cardiologist didn't think it would be a good idea due to my small lean build. The reeason I asked the questions was to see if I was going to have any setbacks to my return to duty. I have already decided that I will retire if my wire breaks more than once because I will have tried and once could be a fluke.
Thanks again and I appreciate any more feedback.
Carolyn

You have the right idea. That is an interesting dysfunction you have. I manufacture biofeedback equipment and we do a lot of work with the autonomic system. It would be interesting to know what your readings would be like.

autonomic dysfunction

Dear Carolyn,
I too have a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system/dsyautonomia. Mine was also caused by a virus that I had and also long term lyme disease.
This is causing my Bp to be very low, due to it pooling in my legs....for me stress is good bc my BP goes up.

I am glad that you are excited to get back to work, good luck with everything!!!!!!!!

Christine

You know you're wired when...

You always run anti-virus software.
