PM Protection?

I'm thirteen and recently had a PM
implanted in December. Right now I'm
looking for some kind of protective gear
for the PM so I can continue playing sports.
Anyone have suggestions on gear?

hey im 17 and im looking for protection too! I haven't found what i want yet but try the hunters recoil pads if your pacemaker is in your chest and not abdomin. It has worked for a lot of people!

What kind of sports do you play? Im a gymnast!

I too was 13 when I had my pm put in. I played basketball, volleyball, and softball with no protection gear. Back 22 years ago I could not find anything, so I used my own. Being a female I used sports bras and an ace bandages. It really helped keep my pacer feel more in place and not move around so much.

Good luck finding something, welcome!

Hello and welcome! I am also 13, but have had a PM since 15 hours. I am going to play soccer next season(hopefully) but do not have protection. One lady posted about her and her daughter's docs patenting a sheild. Should be out soon. The thing about the under armor type stuff is that it is expensive. Hope things work out for you!

Hi all!
My daughter was 3 years of age when she received her pm. She will be 9 on March 26th. I am in the process of developing a protective gear(patent pending) just for pm'ers. I would love to pick your brains and ask you a few questions. My direct email is sspinnler@optonline.net.
Thanks,
Sharon

I have an idea

My son is 15 and plays an aggressive game of soccer. He wears a chest /rib protector that I purchased online. It is found at www.allsportsarmour.com and comes in different sizes. My son wears the teeshirt with chest protector under his uniform and rarely does anyone know. My pediatric cardiologist thinks it is the best protector he has seen and has recommended it to other patients. Please check it out at www.allsportsarmour.com

I have had a PM since I was 3, Now I am on No. 10

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
