high ventricular rates

Hallo,
I received a copy of the EGM yesterday that my pacemaker recorded. It was recording for 32 days. It showed 8 episodes of ventricular rates between 125 -133 pm. All of them fell into the same time period of a few days, and they happened in the evenings. Strange thing is that I never felt any of them.
I have sick sinus syndrome and have a pacemaker for bradycardia, but I never had tachycardia until after a ear surgery on Jan. 16th.
At that time my cardio put me on Metoprol, now I"m also taken digitek.
I'm quite concerned about this new development , how bad are these rates.? Does it mean that this condition can get worse?
as always much thanks for your help
Elke

Increased HR

Relax. 133 isn't really all that high. If you never felt them it may be that you were engaged in some activity that would normally cause the increase. Excitement, coughing, sneezing, running to answer the phone all could cause an increase in HR. One other possibility having had ear surgery is that you had a short spell of vertigo. Keep in mind by the way that the time clock in your pacemaker may not be set correctly. I asked the Medtronic rep to check mine a few months ago and it was off several hours. I don't know whether it compensates for daylight saving time or not.

One week has passed and I must admit that each day I feel a little stronger.
