Pain

Hi everyone, I am new to the site I found it looking up pain after pm surgery. I had a replacement on Jan. 3, 08 not wires just pm everything looks fine with the incision but the last 3 days I have been getting this pain in that general area and in my breast area in the same location. Now this pain goes from being faint to like a sharp pain it is very uncomfortable and I wasn't sure if I should be concerned. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Thanks, Roxanne

Roxanne,
You didn't say whether the pain is constant or happens when you move. Also, did they implant the pacer under your breast so it doesn't show? If so this displaces more tissue and seems to have a bit more and longer pain. I am only reporting this from other posts on the site. Being male mine is implanted right under the skin and I had very little pain with mine.

If it is really bothersome I suggest contacting the doctor.

good luck with it.

I know when I got my first one there were sharp pains that scared the hell out of me and I always thought it was something serious I should worry about and everytime I'd get one we rushed to the hospital to check them out. They were always fine. A lot of it was anxiety and adjusting... you get more energy now! so, definitely check with your doctor if they don't stop... just keep in mind your whole body has to adjust to something else being there. Mine was fine so I wouldn't worry, always check with a doctor though! I get another one Monday morning so I'll let you know how that should feel! Get well soon!
