Chest Pain Update

Thanks to everyone who welcomed me to the site and offered their advice!
I contacted my EP this morning, and she is pretty certain that my pacer is causing the chest pain. She said that it is probably either the pacing that I am feeling, or some sort of maintenance that my particular device preforms.
I often feel it pacing in the atrial lead, but never in the ventrical lead...she informed me that I am probably extememly sensitive to the pacing in that area. I am not so sure though, according to the device rep, I have been paced through both leads, so I don't understand why it would hurt so bad this time. The pacing that I usually feel is equivilant to a thump inside my chest...this was a million times worse. I also thought that maintenance on the device was always done at the same time. The three episode of extreme chest pain have all been at different times of the day.
I am supposed to be receiving my home monitoring system this week, so she wants me to transmit as soon as I receive it, to save me a trip to her office which is 2 hours away. In the mean time, if it gets worse, she wants me to call her back.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens!

To tell you the truth I never even give it a second thought. While growing up it never stopped me from doing anything and to this day my girlfriend or my kids need to remind me that I have one!
