Replacement leads from pm

Hello everyone.
I have not been on here for sometime now, been busy with son and partner being poorly, but nevertheless I still think about you all. I have a query and that is I have had 2 pm's and maybe due for another replacement soon. They left the old wires in and inserted another 2 wires, should I need to have anymore wires, how much space left for wires to be implanted. Sounds complicated, hope you good friends can understand me. Take care all of you
Sue

nice to see your message wondered how you were, hope yr son and partner bit better now.

I dont know the answer to your question but I have seen posts in here from people who have multiple leads and seem ok.

From what I have read I sort of think that the leads can remain in place as long as they arent damaged enough to cause any danger.

You may be lucky and they use the old wires, hope so, you take care

Hi Sue.

I recall TraceyE answering that question not too long ago. I think she had some kind of test called a Venogram (?) to see how much space was left for the wires....

When I have to have my pacemaker and/or leads replaced, I sure hope that the wireless model is available in Canada by then.

I'm sure Tracey will pop in soon and give you some great advice.:)

Take care,
Pookie

You know you're wired when...

You’re officially battery-operated.

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
