Also, thank you to both CathrynB and Lotti for their response to my asking about swimsuit problems. It really helps to know that what you are feeling is a common problem with pacemakers. I had an ablation that failed a two years ago, and in late August I had an AV node ablation with a pacemaker to the ventricle and started swimming five weeks later.. doing too much backstroke to begin with and felt many strange feelings near my pm. It is all o.k. now, but I did find out through a great website at Cleveland Heart Center (reputation for being number one) that it takes six to eight weeks before they want pm patients to swim so that the lead really takes hold. To make a long story short, I have learned so very much from our pacemaker website, and for that I am so very grateful. Happy Thanksgiving to all....
