You will be just fine. I am 73 years old and I had my ablation in Feb. of 2007 and required a pacemaker to operate 100 % of the time. The psychological feelings are worse than the physiological ones. You will need time to adjust but you wont feel the pacemaker like you think you will. I was very carefull to wear my sling for 6 weeks even in bed so as not to lift my arm over my head and pull the wires out. The incision will heal very easily. Try not to dwell on what you have. I realize you are much younger than I and there may be adjustments to be made from time to time but give the technicians a chance. Good Luck. DD
