Hi
Allan(42 edinburgh dual lead pacemaker) here wonder if anyone can help I have has pacemaker for nearly 2 years now and been feeling ok .But I have been training really hard with a personal trainer and after we do our gymn stuff he
likes me to do approx twenty minutes vigourus boxing which is basically me hitting his pads as hard as I can .But he really makles me loose my breath doing this and now after i have finished exercises and when i relax I am getting anoying little dropping sensations in my heart .Is this anything to worry about or should i just fight through this ?
I am taking 25mg atenlol(beta blocker last thing at night to control stray afib ) but I have increased dose to have another 25mg when i get home to rid this dropping sensation
Can anyone explain what this is?

one of the things that I was made to understand was that with a pacemaker you should not be involved in contact sports. boxing even a bag or pads to me is contact sports, maybe you should ak your doctor to clarify that for you before you continue with your program.
good luck

I would ask to have your settings checked. If that doesn't shed light on it, ask for a stress test while hooked up to the pm computer. They can adjust how slowly your heart slows down after exercise, and if you are using rate response they can adjust how quickly it goes up with exertion.
