How would you know if your wires, leads became dislodged from your heart? I have a St. Judes with two leads.
Thanks so much

alarm

My ICD is programed to sound an alarm if there is any problem with the lead. The doc said if the icd detects a problem, every morning at 8:20 (or any time they program it for) an alarm will sound until I come in to have it checked. Nifty huh?

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
wires disconnect

Hello Charlie,
You would know if the wires were not in the proper position by a pm/ icd check. They test the wires sending a pulse of energy to measure in ohms, and if the number is too high or low, then that shows a problem. Also, if you feel lightheaded or pulse is too low, that could show a problem. Take care!
