exercise restart

I have a Class I heart block which is being corrected with a pacemaker. I am inerested in the experience of others as would regard exercise restart and any limits that are known. I do use a pulse monitor during exercise and adhere to aerobic pulse rates.

Like Cathryn said, beginning the exercising again depends on what the diagnosis is and the medications involved. I have bradychardia and that was my only problem. So my doc told me to start running after a week(not recommended by anyone, including the doctors nurse). I did run 7 miles 3 weeks after the implant and currently have been running inspite of the heat wave here in St. Louis. I don't believe I have any restrictions now. I've had my pm for 5 months. When I began running again, it seems like I'm still getting back to where I was. But it is coming along. Check out the sports section, I know people have posted regarding heart monitors and stuff.
Let us know how you do,

Depends on Dr.

I was told to wait 3 months before going back to work as my job is very physical and with lots of heavy lifting. My other passion is bowling I am what is know as a professional amateur. There's an oxymoron. Anyway I had emergency surgery out of my home town so i had to get a Dr. in town. I got in to see him at exactly one month after surgery. I asked him when I could resume work and bowling. He said why are you sitting at home start tomorrow. So I did resume everything after 1 month and everything was fine. I do anything now with no restrictions. But you really have to go along with your Dr's. wishes. So good luck and feel better soon. Bowlrbob
