Thanks for all your comments

Hi Pals

Thanks for all your comments regarding anaethestics. I have to have my big toe "rebuilt" I would prefer to be asleep. I have to see the anaesthetist on Wednesday so will discuss it with her. Your comments have helped me to form the questions I need to ask. What would I do without you all? Cheers Billie

One of the very best anesthetics I have ever had was PROPOFOL. They used it during my last pacemaker replacemen(2007) and I felt nothing and awoke feeling wonderful. I was able to leave the hospital and go home two hours after my surgery.

It's very short acting and is what is used before general surgery for intubation and then general anesthetic. It may be suitable for your surgery.

I want to use it for my next ops. It's the first anesthetic I have ever had that didn't make me really sick after.

Best to you.

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.
