Reverse shoulder replacement

Anyone with a pacemaker had reverse shoulder replacement surgery?  I may be having this RSR surgery...what risks are there ? Surgery is left shoulder, with the pacemaker adjacent to it.

Welcome aboard!

I can't answer your question but someone will come along. I did read up on your surgery though to learn what it compromises.

Your medical team knows that you have a pacemaker. I'm sure every precaution will be taken. I'm wondering if diathermy is involved because that's a possible concern.

Are you 100% dependent on your pacemaker? Just curious.

I asked my local doctor about doing that on the left near the pacemaker.  He laughed an said he does that surgery all the time as i live in Pacemaker county.  Of course i did not do that side.  Only the right side. That is why i got a pacemaker first.  Had to do a stress test for the surgery first. Found out slow heart beat and pauses.  Got the pacemaker and a year later did the right shoulder.

You know you're wired when...

You have a $50,000 chest.
