We haven't had many members visiting us today so I am afraid they have been put off by the Connection warnings.  I hope the fix is a simple one and confidence in this site can be restored.  I ignored the warnings too

😵‍💫now I have to go ahead and bypass the warning to get into the site. This forum seems to be flickering like my heart was before I got my pacemaker. Might have to take a break from it until the new promised site is up and running. 🙄

I am thinking that the majority of folks won't want to risk coming in past the warning sign.

Who's online tab is there but not functional for me.

I saw your message last night and felt relieved until I saw your later message this morning.  If you want to take a break, then do so and I will let you know by email when things have settled.

Yes my who is online tab is still there but doesn't appear functional either, although clearly there are very few members logging on now or willing to ignore/bypass the Connection warnings, so we might not see who is on line until this is resolved.

I have had no further connection problems on any of my devices since early yesterday morning, but clearly this hasn't been everyone's experience which is worrying

Just write in the calendar "SSL renewal due"

Saves a lot of effort wondering if it's your connection, trying other browsers and looking up error messages.

It's a basic part of web administration.

They actually make free software that will auto-renew your cert for you.... Certify the Web, Certbot, etc. 

Either way, I wouldn't be too concerned about an expired cert, unless you are one to share your credit card/banking info on this website.

Pacemaker club blanking period!

I notice at least 1 or 2,  recent messages posted on Sep 11th have disappeared. Not sure if they were edited or deleted by the member or they occurred during the PM club blanking period! 😀

I do recall a post suddenly disappearing on the 11th September.  A long post, if I recall correctly, on mental health issues after PM implant for heart block?   I only managed to read the first paragraph and then got the usual message "Whoops type message" which usually indicates a deletion has occurred.  

I am afraid deletion of posts/comments is still occasionally occurring.  There are one or two posters who often delete their own carefully thought out comments to others' threads, or even delete their own posts together with all our kind comments.  I do find this more than upsetting as no doubt will others?  We all spend considerable time trying to help others and when our work suddenly disappears, it can feel quite hurtful and we may even be put off answering future posts as a result.  A poster seeking help may be even more troubled by the sudden disappearance of helpful comments.  I am not sure what the answer is but I would like this to stop.

Moderators will however delete unauthorised advertising or spam messages.  I deleted one such post recently that found its way onto our New Messages board.  A long long one on foot massage

Having lost one laptop to ransomware, rescued by Linux, I don't take chances with things like expired certificates.

It's no longer HTTPS.

Probably the risk is small, but why find out the hard way?
