yearly in office pacemaker check

Was told everything was working just fine, asked about the leads, said they too were just fine.

Asked about any a-fib episodes while i was away, said just one for 2 hours while i was sleeping.

Will have my next quartely transmission Sept.17 which will be from Aug 20.

Had wondered when the land phones become extinct what will happen to my transmissions.  She said my carelink was not tied to my land phone.  Which i thought was strange .  As when i did not have any service nothing was transmitted.  Guess since it is right next to that phone uses that instead of the internet which is on the other side of my home.  Also i turn off my flip top cell phone at night.

My Merlin uses cellular, so it's not tied to my landline, cell phone, or wifi.

That sounds all reassuring

Thank you for the update new to pace.  Your arrhythmias seem to have been quiet, with only one episode lasting for any significant time (2 hours) while at rest, while you were away.  I expect there were shorter episodes of AF, but clearly nothing serious was flagged.

I gave up my cellular MyCareLink phone a few years ago because it wasn’t very reliable and now have the MyCareLink App on my iPhone which I link up with my MyCareLink Patient Smart Reader when I am required to send a transmission.  My pacemaker doesn’t have Bluetooth, so until I get a new pacemaker with Bluetooth that can link up directly with my iPhone App, I will have to continue to submit data manually using the Reader device.  It is very easy to use and reliable, far more reliable than the old MyCareLink phone.

You know you're wired when...

Airport security welcomes you.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
