June's remote quarterly transmission

I knew  my quartely remote tranmission was coming up , was not sure if it would be done before i left for a 10 day vacation.  Thank goodness it was done before.  I had notified my cardiologist  via the patient portal of my away dates.  Who then notified the pacemaker clinic.  When i returned did call the pacemaker clinic to ask for a copy of the log events and the summary page.  Not aware that the clinic is closed on Fridays.  She then called me on Monday to let me know i could pick it up.  Then she told me no nightly transmissions since i had been back.  By then knew the phone service had been off since Sat.  Then i knew now since Thursday. Did ask for  credit. Phone was  repaired on Tuesday. Had a dead board in it.

The results from the summary page .  There were 217 Atrial high rate episodes detected consistent with paroxysmal AF.(this was not mentioned last time).  There was a 2.5% comulative atrial arrhythmia burden. There were 2 ventricular high rate episodes detected consistent with nsVT.  The longest lasted 20 beats in duration. average rate of 169bpm( shorter then last quarter).  Health trends do not demostrate significant abnormality.                            In the RA percent paced 54.1 which is less then last quarter.  In the RV paced 56.5 which that to is less then last quarter.  Battery life remaining is 8.5 years.                                                                                                                     August 20th i have my yearly in office check on my pacemaker.  That will include while i was away.

One day in the airport while racing well walking faster then i normally do. Going to change my flight to the ealier one as the one scheduled was going to be late in landing.  Did have a moment of not beening able to catch my breath, took off my mask and got on the moving sidewalk.  Felt better.  On standby told the agent would like to be home before i was 110 years old  Got on even my suitcase was on the same plane as me. Home by 6:30pm. The other did not land until 12:30am the next morning.                                                     Have a new diet will see if this helps to lower the AF episodes.

New to Pace, thank you so much for the update.

Despite 217 Atrial high rate episodes during the period of monitoring, the arrhythmia burden is still fairly low and apart from one episode of an arrhythmia that you clearly felt while at the airport, you don’t seem to have been affected very much by your high rate episodes.  That is a very good sign that your heart is strong and coping well with both your intermittent AF and occasional episodes of Non Sustained VT.

What is the new diet New to Pace that you intend to start and what foods will you be leaving out of your diet?

I suspect the non sustained VT 20 beat episode took your breath away.  I wonder what your doctors will say about these?  When is your next appointment with your cardiologist?  I hope you are keeping well hydrated in the heat out there.

Currently waiting at airport for our delayed flight due pilots strike on another airline and our flight being exceptionally busy.  Should be on our way shortly

sounds good

had wondered why we heard from you today, hope you get on your way shortly.  I suspect the many for Afib epsidodes was because i had over indulged in coffe(Caffine cardiolgist said to avoid) ice cream( was so good).

No cane sugar, honey, Maple sugar, wheat, barley, rye, brocolli, Roamine Lettuce, artichokes, white potato, basil, Asparagus, Almond, yellow squash for 3 months..  Some foods(corn, Pinto beans can eat every 4 days this is the hard one,  as these are my favorites.

See the cardiologist next March, no one has called me yet, so guess am ok.
