Heart rate question after pacemaker adjustment kind of long story..

About a year ago I decided to try HR training for 1/2 Marathon.. I went to the pacemaker clinic numerous times to get my pacemaker adjustments to where I could run without increasing heart rate to much because of body movement, meaning sensitive was lower. I also had day time rate set at 40 night time set at 35. Forward fast ,, I decided I was not happy with the clinic (because of their cost for interrogation ever 3 months) 

So I decided to go back to my cardiologist and have my pacemaker adjusted there by Medtronic’s rep. 

When the rep looked at the report (histogram) she said I was set way to low and had no idea how I could function at such a low rate. She changed my day rate to 55 night to 45. She also adjusted the accelerator settings and sensitivity. 

Now my daily rate goes from about 55-80 with normal activity, when walking rate goes up to 100. However as soon as I start even very slow runny/jogging my rate up to 150( the makes she set pacing at)  stays at 150 tilll I stop running.. 

So my question is:
Is 150 to high, I believe it is the pacemaker setting cause my hr increase not my actual body’s need..

Is a rate of 150 ok for me to run at, so far I’ve only done up to 2 miles at this rate at a pace no faster than 11 minutes per mile.

I’m “training” for a 10 in 2 months for my 70th birthday, August 1st. I did call my cardiologist yesterday talked to the girl at the desk,, she said “ if you’re feeling ok don’t worry about it, you have another pacemaker check in mid August we can look at it than… I’m just not sure that’s the correct answer…. rate for running

You got the pacer because your rate was too low, so it would make sense to have it higher now. She still has you on the low end of normal.

If they have you set to go to 150, and you feel good at 150 and told you it's ok, then it's perfectly fine to run at 150. As you train more and your heart gets used to its new normal, it will probably come down. Mine was faster for the first year, then settled back down again.

150 HR

I'd say if your running 2 miles and your HR is staying at 150 your in great shape!

I can only do short distances of running before my HR goes up to 170 (my set max) then I walk to bring my HR back down to 140-150 and run again.

i love my Apple Watch as it helps me keep an ey on things as once my HR goes over 170 I don't feel great for long.

i hope to be able to condition myself and work my way to a 150 HR while running longer distances.

An EP with a fitness and athletic understanding???

I'm in Southern California. Can anyone recommend a EPthat has an educational background/ experience/ or understand of fitness / athletic type patients for deal with to low heart issue that caused me to get a pacemaker 2-3 month ago. 
 

I'd appreciate the help. My current EP very sharp on Mediteonic device I have but not a lot of clinical hours in their application after implantation. Great surgeon and then period checks wit my looks like mainly elderly in his office. 
 

im going in for 6 months check and want adjust that match my type and potential level of fitness.

Rate Response setting

I had the same issue and my clinic fixed it in 2 seconds, They changed the Rate Response from High to Normal. The default setting is High. Went back for the 6 month checkup and had them lower the nightime HB to 45 instead of 60, the default. Too bad there isn't a published list of ALL the settings.
