Is it safe to be in a casino with my pacemaker? Slot machines?

Thanks in advance.

Caren, casinos or slot machines will not interfere with your cardiac device.  However, you might lose or win a lot of money and trigger all manner of unwanted heart symptoms that might require treatment, so there might be a heavy price to pay for this activity!

It's tempting to say just don't bet your device on hitting the jackpot,

Seriously, the medical risks are no more than sitting at home watching the TV or cooking in the kitchen.

Too much excitement could be stressful, too much repetitive handle pulling?

Make security aware that you have an implanted device in case they decide to sweep you and have your PM ID card available.

Walk-through security devices are like supermarket gates and should not be a problem.

I've never been even close to a casino but have seen the bright lights of LA on the TV.

If I felt the urge, apart from security being over enthusiastic, I wouldn't give it a second thought

Bon chance.

Absolutley not!  You'll lose all of your money.😉

You know you're wired when...
