Tick tock
I've had my bi-ventricle PM / ICD implanted for about 5 weeks now, after some serious sustained VT's. Everything seems to be going well but I am specifically but not consistently experiencing times when I can distinctly feel my heart beating. It seems to only happen in bed. And if my arm is laying across my chest, I can feel the beating into my arm.
Anyone else experiencing this?
I have a fu appointment on the 29th of the month.
thank you

Feeling your heart beat

Interesting comment about the phrenic nerve and impact on diaphragm. The right side of my diaphragm is paralyzed due to Beckers MD. I have noticed even more sob since my procedure. It is improving but very slowly.

Yes, I had this for the first 3 months of my device, until they were able to adjust the output down. The leads need time to heal and the inflammation to subside, so the setting are higher at first. I also was also in a lot of pain, so I think my bp was up, initially.
And yes, feeling it more based on position is real. It can take up to a year for things to heal and settle into place. Your LV lead is also subsceptible to stumulation your phrenic nerve, which can cause you diaphram to twitch, but adjustments can be made for this too.
