Pacemaker with Freestyle Libre 2 sensor compatible? also, Pet Scan with pacemaker

I use a continuous bloodsugar monitor on my arm.  Just got a pacemaker.  Will they work together.

Also  I have stage 4 cancer, and have a PET scan every 3 months.  Is that I a problem with Pacemaker?

Thanks!

PET scan

I don't know about the glucose meter but I can't imagine that they'd interfere with each other.

PET scans are no problem at all.  It's sorta like an MRI without the magnets, so perfectly safe.  The radio-isotope they use is highly radioactive but it has such a short life (the more radioactive, the shorter the half-life) that the total dose is very small. It's no more exciting than a stress test.

Pacemaker and CGM

I just got a pacemaker 24 hours ago.  I have a Dexcom CGM and the whole staff knew about it and no one ever mentioned there being a problem.  Thank goodness because those are two devices that have saved my life.

CGM

Just worth mentioning that for Freestyle CGM, NICE does state that it uses Near Field Communication (NFC) which is the same technology used by Medtonics in their pacemaker to reader communication.

Unlikely to interfere because of the distances involved, but best to ask and rule it out than rely on medics not mentioning it.

My pacemaker was installed in 1998 and I have not felt better. The mental part is the toughest.
