I don't know what I was thinking, the beating is in my Dad's left arm, the side where the PM is located.

Thank you, Christine. I'm going over to see dad tonight, so I'll find out more info. If needed, I'll take him to the emergency room.
I'm so glad I found this site. My Dad does not have a computer, so I will look to all of you to help us with any questions we may have. Personal experience is where you usually find the best knowledge and answers.
I also wish you all the best.
Angela

I'm 44, active and have had my device for two years. I love it as I can run again and enjoy working out without feeling like I'm an old man.
Wishing your dad well

anrob,
I had throbbing in my left arm and some minor swelling as well also warm to touch. I had an IV from pacemaker surgery that caused a thrombosis in my vein. This caused a slight infection which created these symtoms. I am not a dr. but I would suggest having your dad see a Dr. if his symtoms gets worse or if he notices any new symtoms. Again, I am not a Dr. so he may want to disccuss this with his doctor.
Please wish him the best for me!
Christine
