MRI

Last night I was searching here for information concerning MRI scans (with a pacemaker) as for so long one has been instructed to avoid magnets, not go through metal detectors etc etc, so I  was, naturally, concerned about a magnetic scan. I was told my unit was MRI  compatible and nothing to worry about. This forum was encouraging, as several members had come through scans unscathed, and I did feel a little reassured. I was, nevertheless, a very nervous patient as I sat in a waiting room with large signs warning of strong magnetic forces and no entry with pacemaker notices. I am fitted with a Biotronik and I am.pleased to tell anybody else, facing their first MRI since being fitted with a Pacemaker, that  all went well. The scan was performed in a totally normal manner and I have felt no ill effects. I found reassurance from this forum last night and hope that this post may calm others.

Glad all went well, and that you took the time to tell us.

We all need to hear the good reports, and as you can testify, sometimes they make a real difference.

You know you're wired when...

Your life has spark.
