A little late for my welcome 🤗....anyway really nice to meet you. Gemita does mention you often but I'm glad 😀 to hear the story from your perspective. I am relatively new to this forum and like you I had issues with login in the past.....but,hey here we are!!
I got my Pacemaker in 2016 {age 66} having no previous symptoms or health issues ...while I was on the foldable little bicycle. Unfortunately or fortunately 🙏🏻 I sustained moderate head/brain injury😊 ....seven years later...no medications or any issues this far!? Fortunate part of the story is I can tell the story and because of that event they discover what has happened ❤️.... after I flatlined and bradycardia while 18 days in hospital! Miracles of Life's 😊 I am still super active...gardening,walking,Yoga,Pilates and still working from home etc.
good to hear that you are still active at 84yo🤗 ....hope you stay safe and healthy for many more years 🙏🏻
🌼greetings to you both💞

Thinking of You Both
by SeenBetterDays - 2023-04-12 10:17:37
Hi Gemita, I'm so sorry to hear Michael has been unwell. He seems like such a lovely man and that shone through in his recent post. It's very difficult with current NHS strike action but hope you feel he is being given the the best care possible. I am thinking of you both and hope that Michael is home soon and back where he belongs with his very special wife. Please let us know how he is doing over the coming days. Take care, Rebecca

I'm sorry to hear Michael is hospitalized for an infection. But relieved to hear the diagnosis is only high sugar and infection, both are relatively more amenable for conventional treatment than some refractory arrhythmias!!! Hopefully he's alert and able to take in oral fluids. Nonetheless given his comorbid conditions he would need a closer evaluation and follow up. I wish you both well!!

Life does not stop with a pacemaker, even though it caught me off guard.
What a nice message

We both thank you for your message Millie. Michael is currently in hospital but is being well looked after by senior doctors and consultants during a four day junior doctor's strike here in the UK. He is being treated for high glucose levels and a couple of infections but he seemed in good spirits when I visited yesterday, so hopefully they won't keep him for too long. He is missing his home comforts.
It is good to hear your success story Millie and to know that you are doing well with your pacemaker. I see from your gallery pics that you are very active and enjoying life to the full and I hope it continues xx
