Success story

Hi. Thought I would also add my success story. My resting heart rate always sat around 65. I am in good health, I take no medication. Active. We still ride a motorcycle. Nov. 16 th of 2022, my resting heart rate started dropping, about 3 bpm. Every day. It showed up on my Fitbit.  On Nov. 25, I phoned our health link  as my heart rate had dropped 38 bpm and talked to the RN, she told me to go to emergency. It was just a whirl wind after that. I was sent to CCU,  where my heart rate dropped to 33 bpm I was there for 3 nights, being evaluated, then to the heart Center, I was told I need a pace maker. Dec. 1, I got my pace maker, and got to go home Dec 2. Everything went so well for me. I didn’t have time to even think about what was happening. My 6 week check up was great. My next appointment is the end of April. I have been walking religiously again  since I got my pacemaker. Life is pretty much the same as it was before. I am 80 years old and love life. Hope everyone the best.

Still going strong - wonderful !

Hello Beanfor, I have been following your posts and seen your gallery pics and I can see that you and your husband are still very active.  That is really good news and I hope it continues this way for a long time to come.

Thank you so much for sharing your Success Story with us all.  It is so reassuring to know that the pacemaker is not holding you back in any way!  Keep up the walking which is also an enormous pleasure in my life as well.  Thank you for your good wishes and I send the same to you both too.
