Sling.... beware....and not the Singapore Sling
by Daedalus - 2023-03-29 00:34:15
Mine, too, was quick and easy. No pain or discomfort. (Went into AFib on the OR table, but that was quickly remedied with a 100-joules zap from the cardioversion paddles. Was "out" at the time so no bother for me).
But as others mention, ditch the sling after two days at most and move your arm as usual, keeping the elbow below the shoulder. I didn't know about this site until later and wore mine too long. Frozen shoulder is no fun as I learned. Almost back to complete normal shoulder after 13 months, but it may never be as before. So take heed.

Welcome to the club!! You sound wonderful! Thanks for the great update! Now be sure to drink more water than usual, keep the elbow below the shoulder and don't wear the sling too long, if they give you one. Take it easy. May your recovery go swiftly and completely.
