Butterflies and gurgles

Hi all. 5 years dual paced. Medtronic. Having butterflies and gurgles about four inches below pacemaker on left side, particularly when I breath out.  Not painful but also not comfortable. Pain becomes like a stitch you get when you run.  Any ideas?

Possibly a lung issue?

by Persephone - 2023-03-19 11:15:31

How long has this been going on? Is it possibly a lung issue?

Depending on where the discomfort is in the upper left quandrant, heartburn or referred gallbladder pain could also be possible concerns.

Please get it checked out if it continues, and quickly if it worsens

Shingles

Thanks for the reply. Not my lungs. It is midpoint rather than towards the top. But yes I will get it checked  out.  And I see your previous post on shingles. I have that at the moment if you still after comment on that

It sounds like digestive noise to me. It's pretty normal for most people. Hunger can certainly cause it, too much carbohydrates, a virus, or nothing at all.

post on shingles

Can't offer any info on that, Jason, apologies. I hope you're feeling better soon. I never got tested and was going on symptoms including rash that was localized to one side of body and nausea, significant unwell feeling, etc.

That said, could this be nausea related to your (diagnosed?) shingles? I had previously had no idea that nausea was a common symptom but it makes sense.

Getting the shingles vaccine is on my to-do list for sure. Hoping you have a quick recovery.

You posted before about a fluttering under the ribs. Has a medical professional been consulted yet?

Could be GI- like hiatus hernia or a pulmonary condition. Please consult your provider!
