Gamma radiation and ICD
Hello. I'm recently diagnosed with HF. Can go back to work in Nuclear Medicine as a technologist if I have an ICD. Will it reset?

Radiation

Pacemaker cans are titanium. If the radiation is enough to get at the innards of the pacemaker, you're a crispy critter. Working around an MRI machine could be an issue but nuclear medicine shouldn't be any problem. A occupational hygenist should know more. Being in nuclear medicine, you should have one available to you.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
should be safe

You can ask the manufacturer to be 100% sure, but the only thing we really need to be careful of is large industrial magnets. Radiation has no effect on a device.
