Don't be fearful. We all should get this at least every ten years. People like me who've had polyps need it every five years to catch them small. It's more scary to ignore checking. Colon cancer is preventable when polyps are caught early!
Besides, the hospitals and specialists are booked up for months so getting an appointment lined up is good. My followup with my gastroenterologist isn't scheduled for three months because he has zero openings til then!
