Heart pain

I've had my pacemaker for 10 weeks now. And I constantly feel a slight pain in my heart. Is this normal?

Probably not.  I have occasional brief pain sensations, spasms but nothing daily or constant pattern.  What does your doctor say?

maybe the vapping is the cause of your pain.

Call the cardiologist

You really can't get an answer on that here. Call your cardiologist and let them discover the reason you feel this way. Don't ignore it. Good luck, may you quickly get this resolved.

'slight' pain - twinges or cardiac pain?

by Penguin - 2023-01-08 08:52:55

I remember a variety of pains / new sensations after having a PM implanted for the first time. It took some getting used to!

I got some muscular twinges which were set off by positions I adopted to compensate for the surgery. Re-adjusting your body position periodically, gentle stretching and rolling your shoulders is the usual advice.

Could you have a trapped nerve caused by similar issues?

If you've had 'cardiac' pain before from angina or a heart attack or if you had heart disease (perhaps from smoking - presume that's why you vape), you might have an inkling as to whether the pain is cardiac rather than positional.

Better safe than sorry though - best to ask your EP.
