So I have been experiencing a very strange symptom since my pacemaker replacement on 8/22. Every night at exactly midnight, I feel a weird sensation in my chest that causes me to cough. It literally lasts 20-30 seconds, I cough, and it's over. And it happens at 12 AM in the dot. Every single night. 😂😂😂 This happen to anyone else? I have my next cardio appt in January. I'm going to for sure ask both my Medtronic rep and my cardiologist.

auto check

That's the daily check Ask them to change the time so you're more likely to be asleep, or if it can be turned off. If you are very stable, they shouldn't have a problem with turning it off. Mine only does it every 3 months. If anything happens between, I send a manual report.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
Auto Check?

Sounds like it might be the daily auto check. I can't recall the exact name but mine had it on when I first got it. Good thing is they can turn it off. Mine ran nightly I think at 1 or 2am. They changed it to 7 or 8am, then I told them to turn it off. Hope that's the case for you as well as it's a simple fix. Happy holidays!
