Thoracic Aneurysm

Depends on the size of the aneurysm.  If it is small they may just watch and wait.  I attach a link for you to read all about it.  Please copy and paste into your browser to open.  If you are concerned after reading the above link, then please ask for another opinion or referral to a vascular surgeon.  If your cardiologist is not worried, perhaps this is a good sign that the aneurysm is small?  Do you have any further information outofthetrap?

I have a mildly dilated thoracic aorta.  It was found on an echo in fall of 2020.  They did another echo 6 months later and there was no change.  I ended up having to change doctors for unrelated reasons, and my new doctor ordered an echo, then sent me in for an angiogram 6 months later.  All tests showed the same results, which was great, so the plan is to continue to monitor through imaging every year or two.  No other treatment is required at this time.  Wishing you the best!

I'd inclined to trust your cardiologist.  As Gemita says, size is everything. OTOH, a second opinion wouldn't hurt and would set your mind at ease.
