Anyone have concerns about mammograms with a pacemaker? Is there a danger of crushing the device? There should be a test specifically for pacemaker patients

if you are concerned you can always have a Thermogram done of your breast an any other places you have concerns about.

I also had a mammogram last year and they were very careful not to compress the pacemaker. I was apprehensive before but felt completely at ease when I was there.

If anything crushes your device, there won't be enough of you left to pour into an urn. They're made from titanium. At least one saved a life by stopping a bullet and kept on ticking.

The techs are all very well instructed in taking mammograms with pacemakers. I had one last year and was so concerned. The tech was very patient and actually put her hand over my device as a marker-as she lowered the plate on my breast. Only the breast is compressed-not the device or wires.
There is no chance they can crush your device.
