Lavender, thank you.  She was special and I can’t hold back the tears.  I don’t know why, but I thought she would live forever xx

More hugs

(((Gemita))) wrapping you in cyber warm but gentle hugs 😔❤️‍🩹

I have watched so many documentaries of her amazing life. She's always so lovely and perfect. Her own stature as her husband's funeral services took place exemplified her grace and strength.

I loved her recent tea with Paddington Bear where she pulled a marmalade sandwich out of her purse.

My siblings and I have always felt that as long as the Queen lived, our mom would continue as well-given that they're the same age.

You will all be in my heart these next days as we too watch the coverage and celebration of her excellence in fulfilling her duties. She indeed will live forever in the hearts and minds of those who witnessed her incredible journey.

My Condolences Too

To all our friends in the UK, for the loss of your beloved Monarch, and we here in the US share your sorrow.

Faithfully carrying out her duties as Queen for 70 years, she was an amazing woman, and it's very hard to imagine anyone filling those shoes as well as she did. I remember reading about, and watching documentaries about her life starting in her early childhood, through her teenage years, during the turmoils of the Second World War,  her marriage to Prince Phillip, motherhood and her coronation as Queen at age 25, and throughout the years during her reign. I admired her greatly.

It seems to me that the loss of her beloved husband in 2021 had to have taken its toll on her health and stamina, and at age 96, she's earned her rest and eternal reward after serving her country for 7 decades. We on this "side of the pond" join you in sorrow at the Queen's death, and we wish her Godspeed and eternal bliss.

Such a charming leader. The epitome of class.  The last of the class, IMO.

My SIL, a Brit (also a US citizen),  is in the air on the way to the UK to visit her sister, at this moment. I hope it's not too much of a mess and she doesn't have to add to it.

I've been hearing of all the plans for the queen's funeral and I'm sure the US media has everything wrong as usual  but they make it sound like the whole country is shutting down for ten days.

RIP ❣️

Rest in Peace Elizabeth R. Sad times for the family and friends and the country.

The UK now goes into 10 days of mourning,as I understand it. Not everything closes down obviously but many places such as government offices will. There is a protocol in place and she will eventually lie in state in London for people to pay their respects.

Not sure if you can see this link but it tells you what should happen and when.

There is a lovely headline in  my UK newspaper  this morning :-

"  GRIEF IS THE PRICE WE PAY FOR LOVE  "

There are certainly lots of both of those emotions on display here and around the world .

She was one remarkable lady  !

Without question one of the finest and most courteous monarchs England ever had. God rest her soul.
