I recently started lifting a set of 20 lb dumbbells and also started doing core and ab exercises. Does anyone have any advice about lifting dumbbells safe with a pacemaker implant

If it feels good, do it. As long as your past your four to six week initial healing period, you're good to go.

Watch your bench and chest presses, you could damage a lead. (pull it out)

Start the exercising slowly with much lower weights than you are used to.  That way you can gradually increase without straining anything.  I've been doing weight training for 12 months with a trainer and doing great. 69 year old gal who loves the outdoors, it's the cardio that does me in.. I need s souped up CRT next year!
