I find it informative, anticipating that people will bring the subject up on the site or in conversation. I do not tend to post many links - are there specific concerns about Washington Post that are of note?

Yes but no more than the NYT.
I don't do pay-walls in any case. Linking to articles behind them is a waste of everyone's time.

Yes please Persephone, if it is no trouble, could you please send me a PDF too of this article? Many thanks
How to send?
by Persephone - 2022-02-22 08:49:46
Is there a way to send an attachment? Looking forward to learning something new today :)
Dropbox?

You could try uploading it to Dropbox and sending us the URL/link?
Otherwise we could share email addresses?

You could take a pic of each page and place it into the Gallery Persephone for all to view ? That would be easier, providing PDF isn't too long? Have a go

If it's a pdf you got from a paid source it's probably a copyright violation to post.
There is no way to post a pdf here, we do not have the ability to do attachments in either posts or private messages. We do, however, have a little used Facebook page. You can put documents there, but again, please be careful of copyright.

Tell us in essence what was in the article Persephone?
what the article said.
by Gotrhythm - 2022-02-22 11:19:47
I had no trouble at all accessing the article. I highlighted it, clicked on Go to Address. To my knowledge I didn't pay any extra for it. (I do pay for cable access to internet.)
For those of you who can't read it, it said what those of us who watch trends on the Pacemaker Club already knew. Some people who have even mild cases of Covid can be left with heart issues, including rhythm issues. The article cited a case of a young, healthy woman with no risk factors who was left with episodes of tachycardia.
Nobody knows how many cases there are, but already there are enough to say it's a real public health concern. They see a wave of people with post-Covid heart issues coming.
The article cited various public health authorities as well as a cardiology association. (sorry I can't be more specific. Memory for details is not what it used to be.)
Thank you Gotrhythm

Your memory serves you well and thank you for sharing. Tried again to access the article but it clearly won't work for me in the UK without subscribing.
Yes there is a lot we are still discovering about long Covid symptoms and these can be worrying. I still have unusual symptoms following a pre vaccine Covid episode in April 2020 (chills, night sweats, brain fog). My doctors believe my symptoms can be traced back to my illness and that these are long Covid symptoms. I know during the Spring of 2020 I also experienced a worsening of my tachy arrhythmias too, but these have now settled.
I am going to ask whether I can be referred to a special clinic in the UK for assessment of my symptoms, the most debilitating of which has been the brain fog. I have just discovered they have such a clinic in my own hospital, so thank you Persephone for raising this subject again.
For those members in the UK who believe they may be suffering from Long Covid symptoms, I attach an NHS link which might be useful. You will need to copy and paste the link into your main general browser to activate it.

Thanks everybody

Gemita and Jer - I sent PMs so you can see the gist of the article. As with most things, to be taken with a grain of salt (of course depending on one's recommended sodium intake :) Best wishes to all.

while you are waiting for your special clinic , you might cut back on Wheat: pasta's, cakes, and bread, Rye Glutens which also cause brain fog.

Sorry, it's behind a pay-wall. Not interested in the WaPo.
