Bulging pacemaker

Hi I have my battery replaced 17/12/21 it feels like it's not in properly I know sounds weird and it's really sticking out every now and then it can get a bit painful like it's pushing against my skin it's worse if my bring my arm behind my back has this happened anyone I have my first appointment on 28th can I just add the pain goes under my arm and into my breast on side of pm

bulging post replacement

Hi, I just had my pacemaker replaced for the third time, about a month before you. i also found that it seemed to be bulging a bit more than other times. The area around it this time is also a bit numb. However this time I was told that they used an antibiotic shield around the pacemaker, and it would probably bulge for a while until it dissolves. The swelling seems to have gone down a fair bit now.

Hi - I had a similar thing happen to me. I thought my pm had slipped! It definitely looked like it was sticking out of my side. Anyway I went to see my specialist and he suggested waiting a little for everything to settle. It took about a month for it to find its own pocket to settle into. It's almost been a year since it was replaced and I hardly notice it now.
