Several members of the Pacemaker Club have expressed a wish to know how many of us experienced pain following implant of our devices, the nature and extent of that pain and how it affected different age groups and gender.
We are running a survey which is confidential and will not be used for marketing. All members irrespective of whether or not they experienced post implant pain are welcome to participate, since this will help to provide a balanced, unbiased survey result.
It is our aim to try to get the results published in a well respected cardiology journal. Any paper accepted would have an acknowledgement to the Pacemaker Club. Results of our survey will help us to better understand and manage the complex range of pain and other symptoms many of us may experience to improve patient outcomes now and in the future, particularly since many of us can expect to go through several battery/lead changes in our lifetime.

I can "find" 53 votes somewhere. As mayor Richard Daily said, "Vote early and often.".
We can do this the honest way

We are up to 247 responses on the survey (up from 149 at the last count), so we may well reach our target of 300 responses by year end. Thank you all for your efforts to make this a worthwhile study.
