Lenox Hill Radiology in Lynbrook called and told me cannot perform MRI of right hip due to Biotronic Endora 8 DR-T pacemaker but they did MRI's last year. Does anyone know of a MRI ctr in Nassau that will perform that MRI with my pacemaker?

new is right. A doctor's clearance is required before anyone will touch you for an MRI. IME, no one cares, in the slightest, about the PM card. No MRI-in-the-Box will do it. As new said, you'll have to go to a hospital that has a cardiac department to have your PM saved, then restored after. It's no big deal after all the paperwork is done but it is a necessity.

You will have to go to a major hospital to have the MRI done.
Where i had mine done recently, also the hospital needed to have a release from the Cardio Dr. along with a copy of my pacemaker card. I contacted the Cardio and they then sent all the paperwork to the hospital.
The hospital will contact the rep for your pacemaker who will put you in a safe mode before and put your pacemaker back to the paced rate.
