You didn't say how old your device is?   Mine lasted 7 years and had to be replaced 7 months ago.

Remaining life is always just a guess. The closer it gets to the end, the better the guess.

Every time they change the settings, the estimated life changes because that estimate is based on current settings.

If a lead is starting to age, it's possible it will drain the battery more quickly. If that's the case, they will know so ask.

I'm on #5. I had one that said 6 months left for almost two years. Another time it said 6-12 months but when i went back 3 months later, it was already in elective replacement mode. The others were about what the estimate said.
