atrial fib and pacemaker

Good evening and thank you for your time,

Just a quick question in regard to current Covid outbreak and vaccine. have any of you had issues with the phyzer vax in regard to it causing hear palpitations or affecting pace maker, i`ve heard the vaccine can cause miocarditus or pericardittus but i think in only young people and I`m 71 now and have a dual lead pacermaker biontronik along with permanent AF, hope someone might be able to shed some light on this for me as to if you have had any or no issues. thanks so much for any inpu, kind regards, john

Vaccine, yes, please!

Good Morning Jaybe. Everyone in my family, from my 82 year old mother in law to my 12 year old grandson has been vaccinated. Other than a sore arm, we have had no issues at all.

The actual infection is more likely to cause heart, lung, and brain inflammation than a vaccine. Please do get your vaccine!

Hi John,

I've had 2 doses of the Pfizer jab and no problems.

I also had covid at the start of the UK lockdown, which gave me a cough for a few weeks.

I haven't heard about the pericarditis etc. but I have heard that Covid can cause heart issues.

Covid vaccination myocarditis and pericarditis.

I should add since my Covid-19,  3 weeks ago, I have had a fair number of ventricular ectopic beats. About 10% of hospital patients with Covid-19 have cardiac complications. Atrial fibrillation is the commonest.

I had Pfizer.  No cardiac issues.  I did have other side effects (fever, nausea, body aches), but it didn't last.  The rest of my family had Pfizer and only sore arms and one had a slight fever for an hour.   Definitely glad we got vaccinated.  It's much better than Covid.

Cardiac complications from Covid 19 vaccine.?

I was fully vaccinated with Moderna. I had no cardiac complications at all. Myocarditis and pericardites are extremelly rare coplications from Covid 19 vaccination. I heard that it is temporary and non-fatal.
