Waiting for e-mail confirmation

What an interesting website!

I signed up a few days ago and am just awaiting the email verification. I've checked "junk" mail. How long does it normally take?

RC, I am glad you like the site. I see you are able to post, so that is what is important.  You could try sending a private message to admin asking for verification, or let me know if you have difficulties and I will have a look at your account.  It would be helpful in the meantime, if you could complete your Bio, or at least let us have a bit more info about yourself.  I know a lot of folks complain of not receiving email verification, so you are not the first.

In the meantime, if you want to ask a question, just post us another message

We used to get an email notification of any private messages but that stopped working over a year ago.

Yes email notification of any private messages has been out of action for a long time.  I and others have reported this on numerous occasions.  I have been told that it will be fixed.  In the meantime, we just have to keep logging on to see whether we have any private messages.
