Electrophysiology Doc

I'm 100% paced and have had my pm since 2012.  I'm not satisfied with my current doc.  I live in 21044 zip in Columbia MD.  I'd appreciate a recommendation.

And, are there any improvements or innovations I should be looking for in my next pm?
thanks,
Liz

I'm nearby, which leads me to guess that we could be at the same large Hopkins-affiliated practice.  I've been satisfied with my care - PM me to discuss if you like.

No specific suggestions, but there are a few seriously fantastic hospitals in the Baltimore/DC area to choose from.

As for improvements, yes they have been making some nice advances. Which one is right for you depends on how you use the pacer. They've made some great strides in rate response, if you use that. My latest (I'm on #5) has a higher upper limit, which made a big difference for me when working out because now the pacer can handle higher rates.

Newer ones almost all have home monitors, some of them have apps on our phone. I didn't like that idea at first, the monitor felt invasive, but I love it now. I keep it wrapped up in a towel under my bed where I don't have to look at it, it just needs to be within 10' of where I sleep. It replaces my quarterly checks so no more going into the office other than for an annual check up. The other checks happen automatically, I get an email from my ep's nurse a few days letter telling me all is good. I can hit a button and initiate a download if anything is going on. It's a big time saver.
