Pacemaker checks

I'm getting a new pacemaker. Does all new pacemakers have the option they can do via computer ? Not sure if I'm getting leads or what brand pacemaker but now phone checks. I'm tired of paying for a landline I don't use except that !

Yes, you can get phone data with a Medtronic pacemaker. They also offer His pacing capability (Google that).

Thank you the info

Not so much via your computer (Windows/Linux/iCult) but some, like mine, have a cell connection so you don't need a land line.  The down side is that AT&T doesn't cover my area very well (I think they use AT&T) and I have to go around the house to find the spot where it's available today.

Some have Android apps (not sure apps for the cult-of-i) to replace the box entirely by using an existing cell phone.

varies by brand and sometimes model.  Some, yeah the landline thing.  Others have a cellular thing or a wired ethernet thing you can get.  And some a phone app.

I like that AgentX86, you could put it on your dash and drive around town till you find a good signal...I think I found the sweet spot on my desk in the basement where it works...but I have to hold the dongle in the air...lol

Just ask your doctor, if they know...Otherwise they can point you at the pacer company and you can call someone there.

You know you're wired when...

The meaning of personal computer is taken a step further.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
