I have a prognostic CPET scheduled and I am wondering how they complete these fully in those who are 100percent paced? I would think it would be impossible to run the full test for my age since I can only pace up to my upper limit which is not the max HR for my age (unless I go into pacemaker weinkebach). Do they mess with the settings during the CPET or just evaluate under different criteria?

If one isn't chrontropically incompetent, everything goes as normal. Since you are paced DDDR, IIRC, I believe they reprogram your PM's tracking rate to what they expect to see during the test. Rate response is used in place of the normal SI response. Other than some additional monitoring, everything is supposed to on as usual.
This is all based on what I've been able to find. Let us know how it goes. My cardiolgist wants to torture me sometime this summer.
