A new doctor sounds promising

Dear Alli,

I was glad to hear from you.

Hopefully the breathing device you were given is easy to use and will help with your symptoms during the day, and at night, so that you will be able to safely stay in your own home until you can be seen by a new doctor.  I hope that you will get an appointment through very soon.

Did you tell your doctors in ER about your difficult pain symptoms too and were they able to recommend a safe dose of Tylenol or other medication for you which you could safely take with any breathing distress?

Some pain meds may temporarily suppress respiratory function making it harder to breathe (I am thinking here mainly of Opioid meds like codeine, morphine, oxycodone) especially in those susceptible to respiratory problems (COPD/Asthma sufferers for example).

I hope you got a few answers while you were in ER since with your breathing difficulties, it is important to get the safest medication and dose prescribed for you.

Please take care

The Power of Prayer

Dear Alli,

So pleased to hear of your improved well being.

You can never have too many people praying for you (I have had cancer treatment, had people of all faiths praying for me, and am still fit and well). It is never going to do harm and only going to do good. Anything that gives you positive vibes has to be a good thing, and here you are!

If you want to see a critical review of the power of prayer (should you of course be a believer in the scientific method), then

offers a good review.

To gain hope and a better outcome is to gain some psychological well-being. What can be the harm in that?

I have bronchitis. Breathing device is working well and i feel better. I told them everything and they said take only 2 tylenol or esaids. They also put me on doxycycline.  I will see the new dr end of this month. Selwyn yes prayers can make a world of difference. I always ask people if they believe to do it, some don't and are insulted that i ask. How sad. Oh i will check out that link now.

You know you're wired when...
